Where Every Day Brings Connection, Joy, and Purpose
At Stoney Glen Manor, we believe that meaningful days are filled with laughter, friendships, new experiences, and a sense of belonging. That’s why we create opportunities every single day for our residents to engage, connect, and enjoy life in ways that are both fun and fulfilling. From bowling and baseball outings and movie nights to church services, dances, and community events—our residents are actively involved in the world around them.
Every resident is encouraged—but never forced—to participate. We meet each individual where they are, helping them feel comfortable, confident, and included
More Than Activities—A Way of Life
The schedule at Stoney Glen is thoughtfully developed to meet all the needs of our residents–both physically and emotionally–in a variety of ways. Through our daily activities and other programs, we create moments that matter, including:
- Organized social events that foster genuine connection and friendships among residents and with community members
- Counseling, mindfulness activities, and therapeutic programs such as art and music therapy
- Physical activity and movement, including yoga, stretching, and strength training
- Spiritual connection for those who desire it
- Volunteer opportunities for residents to foster a sense of purpose and community
Work Program
Our work program is designed to help residents build confidence and independence by providing employment opportunities and skill development in a supportive setting. This includes:
- Structured Employment Opportunities: Engaging in meaningful work in a structured environment that accommodates individual abilities.
- Skills Development: Enhancing skills that promote independence and confidence, preparing individuals for a variety of work settings.
- Community Partnerships: Collaborating with local businesses that offer inclusive work environments to broaden employment opportunities for our residents.
- Personal Growth: Through hands-on experience, individuals build self-esteem and achieve personal growth, contributing to their overall well-being.
